I build backend systems and web apps. Most of my work is in Django and React, with some Go and AI stuff on the side. I've been doing this for about five years, all remote.
Most recently, I worked as an SDE-2 at Instahyre working on their hiring platform. Before that, Saara Inc (e-commerce returns automation), Cloudify (integration platform), and SHL (assessment software). I've also been at Instahyre since early 2025.
I care about boring technology that works. If something fails at 3am, I want to know about it before the user does. Most of my projects use PostgreSQL, Redis, and Celery — not because they're exciting, but because they don't break.
When it comes to problem-solving, I'm drawn to challenges that involve data consistency, system reliability, and finding the right balance between functionality and user experience. Whether I'm designing a message queue system that needs to guarantee delivery or optimizing database queries for sub-second response times, I find satisfaction in breaking down complex challenges into manageable components that can be tested and verified independently.
My engineering philosophy centers on simplicity, maintainability, and robustness. I prefer using 'boring' technology that has proven track records over chasing the newest shiny frameworks. This means investing in proper observability from day one, writing code that's easy to understand and modify, and building systems that fail gracefully rather than catastrophically. Living in Dehradun has shaped my approach significantly - the peaceful environment of the Himalayan foothills allows for deep focus work, while the emerging tech community provides valuable perspectives and collaboration opportunities.
On the side, I built a message scheduler that handles 10k+ messages/day, an automated portfolio system that generates resume PDFs from JSON, and a lab management platform in Go. I write about what I learn on my blog.
I have a B.Tech in Computer Science from Graphic Era University, Dehradun. Graduated in 2020.

I'm looking for remote backend or full-stack roles. If you're building something and need someone who can own the stack end to end — drop me a line.
